  distance learning courses for TAs

We offer two distance learning courses for TAs.

The certificate course is a set of modules. You select eighteen from the forty-three on offer. You make your choice to support the work you do.

Each module is delivered to you by email and you email your work back to your tutor who is there to support you. On receipt of a completed module you will be sent a completion certificate and your next module.

You can work at your own pace and take up to three years to complete the course. This has been designed for busy people as well as those with time to spare. The structure means that, if your circumstances change then way you complete the course changes too.

The course is designed for those who are experienced as well as those who are new to the role of an assistant. There are challenges built in for everyone.

The Diploma course is our advanced course. It is designed to follow a Certificate course. It is a more in depth study and requires you to undertake a developmental task at the school where you work.

After starting with an evaluation of your role, the course invites you to agree an area of development with your school and then keep a diary of your progress over a three month period.

The assessment of your final evaluative report leads to the award of the Diploma.
