| Accreditation - simple steps to wider recognition. | ||
| The training you take with National Inspections is part of an accredited course. | ||
| When you book your training, we will inform The College of Teachers. There is no obligation on your part to complete the course but, if you do then you will be able to complete the registration with the College and receive the Certificate of Educational Studies (COES) | ||
| To get your accreditation, just follow these three simple steps: | ||
| step 1: take any three days of training with us using any courses we offer or complete 18 modules of the modular course | ||
| step 2: register with the College of Teachers and pay the registration fee | ||
| step 3: get your Certificate of Educational Studies (COES) | ||
| We also offer a higher qualification for those who have been awarded the COES. You will now be awarded a Diploma of Educational Studies (DOES) when you finish the course. | ||
| The course
is structured into three sections: 1. The first six milestones are distance learning modules which take about 75 minutes each. 2. The next three milestones follow a development task which you do at school as part of your normal work. 3. The final milestone is a written evaluation of your development task. |
| Section 1 The six modules have been designed so that you can complete them at home or at school. Together they enable you to review what work you currently do and how well you do it. You will be able to celebrate your successes and identify areas for further development. |
| Section 2 You start by picking one area for development that you identified in section one. You now spend three months working on this. It will be an aspect of what you already do, not something extra. The only addition is that we ask you to keep a diary of events as you progress. |
| Section 3 Having completed your diary in section 2, you now write an evaluation of what happened. You will need to write about 2500 words and include some ideas of what you intend to work on next. Once completed, your evaluation is submitted for assessment which leads to the award of your diploma. |
| Throughout the course we will give you access to a personal tutor. Your tutor will be available, by e-mail, to discuss ideas and to offer support and guidance. | ||
| There is a single charge which covers the costs of the initial materials, the tutor support and the final assessment. There is also a fee charged by the College for this award. | ||
