learning mentors - a distance learning course

The role of the learning mentor has developed fairly recently. It has outpaced the provision of support that is needed and so we have put together a modular, distance learning package specifically for the learning mentor.

The eighteen modules cover all the key aspects of the role. Each module is written as a set of simple tasks. The tasks can be completed at home and in school. Each Module takes about 75 minutes in total but it can be spread over a longer period of time. There is no deadline for completing the whole set.

Whilst completing the tasks, you will have access to an e-mail tutor in case you get stuck or need clarification. The tutor will be able to help you with the work in the module and can e-mail you a certificate to say you have completed each module. You can use these certificates to demonstrate an on-going commitment to your own professional development.

The course costs £150 which includes all the modules, a certificate of completion for each and email access to a tutor. When you start, we email your first module and ,when completed, you email your work back to us. We reply with your certificate of completion and your next module.

If you wish to sign up, simply email peter@national-inspections with the name and address for the invoice and we will do the rest.

Our modules are being used in over fifty-three countries and provide an opportunity to explore issues related to learning around the world.
